Thank you for your patience while we established the process to register Hook Runners members now that we have become EA affiliated. To become a member for 1st April 2018 – 31st March 2019, you will need to complete the registration form found HERE. Once this is complete we will load your application onto the EA system and you will then be sent an email to pay your membership fees via the EA portal. This email will come from ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’, please look out for it (and check your junk mail if you don’t get it) as we can only send it once! If you wish to pay via a different method, please contact Rachel Berryman at email@example.com.
Once your EA profile is set up, please check it and keep it updated with any changes, particularly to your contact details.
ONLY when you have done BOTH (completed the registration form and paid your membership fee) will you be eligible for the EA discount on races. Please bear with us in the first week or so as we are expecting to receive a high number of applications in one go. We will process these as quickly as we can and in the order we receive them.
Due to the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018, in order for us to register your details with EA it is a legal requirement that you need to consent to us sharing your personal data with EA. There is a check box on the application form for you to confirm your consent. The GDPR also means that we need your consent to communicate with you, e.g. by email.
The information held by Hook Runners will only be shared with England Athletics for EA registration and online management system. Information will not be shared with any other third parties. The information will be used specifically for processing regarding the club’s activities. The information will be kept with Hook Runners whilst you are a member and will be held for 2 years thereafter should your membership lapse. To record your consent simply tick the relevant box in the membership application form.
The new General Data Protection Requirement (GDPR) comes into effect on 25th May 2018, after this date if you have not given your consent we will be unable to contact you or register you with EA.
If you are a first claim EA member of Hook Runners then the membership fee (including EA affiliation fee) is £25.00. For second claim members (i.e. you are already a member of another EA affiliated club) the membership fee is £10.
Please note that if you do not complete the registration process (form and payment) by 30 April you will no longer be a member of Hook Runners (although you can of course re-join at any time in the future).
