Club training sessions this week:
Now the clocks have changed and it gets dark even earlier, we expect light colours and preferably Hi-Viz/reflective kit.
If you are attending a session for the first time and are not a registered member, please provide an emergency contact to your coach.
Monday 7pm with Pete and Tim – ABC week 8 of 10, building new runners up towards running 5k. This week is hill work that will improve leg strength and technique! More than happy to have any recent graduates or indeed any of our athletes attend to support and encourage.
Tuesday 8:45am with Penny or 7:30pm with Pete – Paarlaufs, or pair running. Take it in turns to run approximately 200m, with a short rest while your partner goes. Great for sharpening speed but also good for improving posture and form.
Wednesday 8pm with Terry – Short Hills – Excellent for working up leg strength and improving core stability. These are shorter, sharper uphill runs (based on time) so it’s the same duration of work for everyone.
Thursday 7pm – Monthly Handicap (6km timed run) – meet at the Raven. If you haven’t got a start time, then let Tim know! Any volunteers for start/finish will also be welcome.
Saturday 9am – Basingstoke parkrun at War Memorial Park
Sunday 8am – Group runs
11 November: Cross Country at Queen Elizabeth Country Park
21 November: Injury prevention presentation at the Raven with SB Physio
1 December: Dorset Coastal Trail Series
8 December: Christmas Party
