Hook Runners Newsletter 31.12.18

The 2019 Club Championship will start with Farnborough Half Marathon on 27 January.  All of the races on this year’s calendar count towards your standing in the championship (except for Endure 24).  Points/prizes will be available based on overall and age graded results.

Club training sessions this week:

With it now dark on all training nights, we expect as a MINIMUM light colours to be worn but preferably some form of Hi-Viz and/or reflective clothing.

If you are attending a session for the first time and are not a registered member, please provide an emergency contact to your coach.

Tuesday (New Year’s Day) – no training, but there are various New Year’s Day parkruns taking place.

Wednesday 8pm with Terry – Marathon Group session but suitable for all. This week is a ‘pure speed’ session of 150m faster bursts in a steady run.

Thursday 7pm Monthly Handicap – meet at the Raven. If you haven’t got a start time, then let Tim know.
If you’re able to assist too, then we’d appreciate your help! This year the handicap direction will rotate each month, this week – anti clockwise.

Saturday 9am – Basingstoke parkrun (War Memorial Park)

Sunday 8am – Group runs

Each session starts at HCC (except for the Handicap and parkrun) and is suitable for ALL abilities, but don’t do harder sessions on consecutive days. If you have any questions or concerns about these sessions please ask.
