Club training sessions this week:
With it now dark on all training nights, we expect as a MINIMUM light colours to be worn but preferably some form of Hi-Viz and/or reflective clothing.
Monday 7pm with Lucy – week three of the ten week ABC course. Recent graduates and other members are welcome to attend and support.
Tuesday 8.45am with Penny or 7.30pm with Tim – 400m reps – speed work running at a little faster than goal 5k pace, with short recoveries. Classic session for all those looking to sharpen their times! Number of reps varies depending on speed.
Wednesday 8pm with Terry – Marathon Group session but suitable for all. Lactate paced efforts – this will be 5-6 longer reps (approx. 5 minutes) ran at your LT pace which is approximately 10k-10mile pace. Distances will vary, but everyone will run for a similar length of time so suitable for all paces.
Thursday 7pm with Mike – Paarlaufs, or pair running. Take it in turns to run approximately 200m, with a short rest while your partner goes. Great for sharpening speed, improving posture and paying attention to your form.
Saturday 9am – Basingstoke parkrun (War Memorial Park)
Sunday 8am – Group runs and Farnborough Winter Half Marathon
17 February: Bramley 20/10
24 February: Cross Country at Polecat Valley
9 March: Annual Awards Evening (more details and voting coming soon!)
