Club Championship

The 2025/26 Club Championship will run from 1st March 2025 to 28th February 2026.

The Club Championships are a series of races run throughout the year over various distances, with a view to adding some friendly competition, together with the usual support and encouragement, between club members. We would love to see a haze of purple at all the races!

The selected races are listed below. There are 15 events in total, some with a choice of distances, spread throughout the year. Runners can enter as many or as few of these as they wish, but only their best 6 will contribute towards their Club Championship points.

Eligibility for Club Championship

• Runners who are first claim members of Hook Runners will automatically be entered into the Club Championship. A Club Member can opt out by contacting the Race Co-ordinator in writing, who will remove that member’s details from the spreadsheets.

Club Championship Races

• The eligible races for the Club Championship are listed below. No other races will earn points towards the Club Championship.

• The Race Co-ordinator may substitute Club Championship races through consultation with the Club Committee, in the event of race cancellations or clashes etc.

• It is the runners’ responsibility to enter races in good time. No concessions will be made if entry limits prevent anyone competing in a Club Championship race.

• Dog assisted runs will not be allowed to count towards Championship Points – sorry!
