Parkrun
On every Saturday…
One Saturday morning in October 2004, a group of 13 friends went for a run around Bushy park near London. Move on twenty years and Parkrun has become a Global event with millions of people running and walking a 5km course every Saturday morning at 9am managed by volunteers and always completely free.
A number of Hook Runners volunteer and run at several local Parkruns each Saturday, but our favourites are
Edenbrook Parkrun – at Hart Leisure Centre.
Basingstoke Parkrun – War Memorial Park.
Come and say hello and join us! All you have to do is register in advance on the Parkrun website and print out and bring along your barcode so you can get your time. No runner will be left behind and we will cheer everyone in at the finish.
