Who we are
Founded in October 2016, Hook Runners is now an English Athletic affiliated running club with over 200 members. This, however, isn’t even close to expressing the formidable force that is our club.
Yes, we have amazing, friendly coaches, capable of getting the best out of even the most reluctant pupil. Yes, we meet several times a week for training and group runs. Yes, we take a sea of purple to races all over the country (and beyond) including both runners and a cheering squad. Yes, we offer an already famous and celebrated beginners to 5K course (the ABC), graduates from which are already completing full marathons. Yes, we have inspirational runners who are contenders for podiums. Yes we have a monthly handicap race and places in local cross country tournaments. And yes, we have a lot of fun in the process. Join us and take part in our Club training sessions. No booking is required.
The best thing about Hook Runners however, is that you will find friends. You will find support. You will find people who you will want to get out of bed, sometimes before the sun, to run with. You will find people who strive to support the community of Hook, who get together to pick up litter, raise money for charity and assist in local events. You will also find yourself at some of the best parties in Hook – dancing is, of course, a great aerobic workout.
With Hook Runners, you will realise your personal best in great company. Join us. We’re waiting.
